In honour of Nelson Mandela International Day in 2012, CONCO took action to inspire change. A team of CONCO staff members headed by Overhead Lines Director Leon Heymans, dedicated their day to two charity organisations.

The first stop was Cotlands Children’s Village in Turfontein, where food and other essential supplies were provided by CONCO. Cotlands is one of CONCO’s adopted charities and over the past 20 years it has built a strong relationship with the organisation. The second stop was Banakekeleni Hospice in Alexandra. Sometimes money is not all that is required so CONCO, in addition to providing essential supplies, also helped to take care of the patients giving the hospital staff a much needed break.
